Join a guided tour of The Old Operating Theatre Museum and Herb Garret at St Thomas’s Church. This is the oldest operating theatre in Britain, dating from the early 19th century and restored about 10 years ago. It is to be found in the roof space of St. Thomas’s Church, which also served as a herb garret The reason for this odd location will be explained in the course of our group visit which will comprise a talk on the heroic days of surgery and a tour of the theatre, garret and museum.
