The Wine Appreciation Group meets on the second Thursday of the month at 10.30am, normally finishing by 12 noon. Our regular venue is the Victoria Park Bowls & Croquet Club, Ballards Lane, where there is plenty of parking.
Most meetings are themed on an area or style of wine. Each meeting begins with a short talk followed by a tasting of about seven wines. The meeting is very social with chat throughout the tasting on a large range of subjects.
We like everyone to use the same type of glass, so new members will be expected to buy one on joining. We split the cost of the wine between us with the money being collected during the meeting. This is usually around £6 – £7. We always welcome new members.
