It includes a wide variety of walks, talks and workshops on diverse topics such as London statues, the story of jazz in London, biosciences in London, climate and carbon capture for industry, the city and slavery, and writing your play. To be held on Monday 8 November. This year is the 550th anniversary of the Battle of Barnet, which was a game-changer for monarchy, England and future warfare – a drama that inspired Shakespeare and took place right on the doorstep. Our speaker, Lester Hillman, will explore all this and more in a lavishly illustrated presentation. The talk will be followed by our postponed AGM.
