Workshop: Make Your Phone Camera Photos Better

Date: Tues 23 July 2024

Time: 10.30am–12.00 noon

Place: Blue Beetle room, St Mary’s Church, 26 Hendon Lane, Finchley, London N3 1TR

Given by: Martin Goldman

Almost everyone has a smart phone with a camera these days, and the modern cameras in them do a great job, sometimes almost as good as a proper camera. They are sophisticated, easy to use, and a lot of the thinking can be taken away from us. However, we can do better. In this workshop, we will cover some of the basic settings/controls of phone cameras and see how we can apply some of the known tricks of photographers. This should help you avoid taking photos which are quickly deleted. In addition, there are many bells and whistles we can add to the phone camera to make pictures more interesting, and some of the simpler and more effective apps will be discussed.

Attendees should bring their phone with a camera to the workshop. There will be the opportunity to practice what is learned.

The number of participants may be limited to 12 so that individual attention can be given.
